Awesomesauce Tea

Hello, creative friends!  In my last post I mentioned that one of my goals for 2014 is to explore the art of collage.  Well, I also have a second goal, and that is to make more cards.  Scrapbooking is still my first love, but last year I made more cards than ever before, and I want that trend to continue this year.  Here's a card that I made recently.

Supplies: white cardstock from Pulp; purple cardstock from Wausau Paper; stickers & patterned paper from Bella Blvd; corner punch from Creative Memories; watercolor paint from Angora.

I made this card to thank a friend who jump-started my car on a particularly cold night back in December.  She is indeed awesome.  It's another cold and snowy day today here in Minnesota...the perfect day to warm up with Tuesday Tea on Elizabeth and Bleubeard's Blog!

This week I decided to show you my favorite kind of tea: Prince of Peace organic oolong tea.  The tea bags come in a big box, which lasts a long time.  I would describe the flavor of this tea as "gentle."  It goes with everything, and it's never too strong or overwhelming.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to have tea with me today!  Now I'm off to visit other people's blogs.  See you soon.

Wow, that card is IMPRESSIVE. I'm glad that you are making these, because you do such a great job with them. And they look like you could actually send it through the mail, too, something that is hard with some over-the-top cards that look more like scrapbook pages than cards.

I'm having trouble staying logged onto blogger, and that is why I'm late getting here. But I adore the looks of that tea and box. I can see lots of uses for the box, which will fit well with mixed media once the tea is gone. Beautiful and functional.

Thanks for sharing T(ea) today. I love it all.

A very clever card and perfect for the use you have in mind. I haven't tried the tea you show, always looking for something new though.

I do think a beautifully made card is always a treasure. We drink Nerada tea, which is grown here in Australia.

Really cute card! I've heard the cold has taken a toll on car batteries this year. A nearby auto supply store told a friend of mine that they sold 45 car batteries in one day! and Ohio wasn't even as cold as where you are...

Your card is very colorful--I'm sure whomever it is intended for will be pleased to receive it. I have not tried that particular oolong tea--don't think I've seen it in the stores, but it sounds worth a search.

The tea sounds great. The only tea I ever drink is Rooibos tea...a product of South Africa.

Love that card! What an awesome friend! And that sounds like my kind of tea. I usually drink coffee and like mild, gentle teas without strong flavors.
Happy late T-Day!
