Hello, everyone! Today I'm participating for the first time in a challenge from the Russian language blog АртУголок (Art Corner). My scrapbook page is called "Autumn Walk." The photos on the page show my family out for a walk in November of 2011.

I used this sketch (rotated ninety degrees) to create my page.
I gladly took my time making this page. I sipped tea and fashioned handmade page elements from a variety of "stuff." It was totally relaxing.
Using paint and ribbon, I turned plain, beige buttons (from old clothing) into flowers.
I applied yellow paint, beads, sequins, and some glazes to the edges of the photos, in order to get the "encrusted" look. By the way, 55 degrees Fahrenheit is 13 degrees Celsius. In my journaling I remarked on how unusual that temperature is. Our family rarely takes walks in November, since the temps here are usually significantly colder than 55 degrees F.
I stamped with yellow paint and real plants. The banners around the circle are cut from scraps of paper.
Thanks for looking at my page today. I apologize for any Russian mistakes I may have made; Russian is my second language. :)

What a wonderful page! You worked wonderfully well.xx
Oh Denise. I had NO idea you spoke Russian. I just "assumed" you used a translator. This is wonderful.
When I first saw the photo with tea, beads, ribbon, and buttons, I wondered where the buttons came from, since none looked like the ones in the first photo. Knowing you created them from scratch was most interesting. I love what you did. This is a true tribute to your heritage and a great example for scrapbookers the world over.
What a fun post. Thanks for joining T today.
WOW! Speaking Russian is fantastic, like Elizabeth I thought you used a translator.
GREAT LO!! I find making elements can be relaxing also.
Wow! Gorgeous layout! Denise, your Russian is perfect! (I have a bad English, I use a translator). I liked the original elements - boxes in a circle and flowers! It's great! And yes, Sandy interesting work,
often peer into to it.
Gorgeous page and love the overhead photo of the tea, never ever think to do that

Hi Denise, such a pretty LO and your buttons are lovely, especially like the use of the plants with the paint.

Hi Denise - great page the colours really pop - have a great week - Mxx
I thought so too (used a translator) It doesn't look an easy language to master, I can't even get English right! Happy T time! ((Lyn)
Lovely page Denise, I thought it was cold here, not that cold!
