Joy

Hello, everyone!  Today I'm joining in with the T Stands for Tuesday blog hop, as I often do on Tuesdays.  Today I actually am drinking tea, too.  It's pumpkin spice decaf black tea.

Last time I mentioned treating myself to a pumpkin spice latte from a coffee shop.  That kind of "designer coffee" is too expensive for everyday consumption, though.  This tea is a nice alternative for getting that autumn flavor at home and not blowing the budget.  :)

The little hang tag on each tea bag says "Cup of Joy," which I hope you can see in the above picture.  It's appropriate, because drinking the spicy, warm tea really does give me feeling of autumn joy.

The path from autumn joy to Christmas joy is short, and I have already started working on some handmade Christmas gifts.  I can't show any of the gifts that I'm making now (just in case the gift recipients read my blog, which would ruin the surprise), but I thought it might be fun to show you some gifts that I made for last Christmas.  Today, I'm showing you a Christmas ornament that I cross-stitched.  I adapted the design from the book Cross Stitched Cards for the Holidays.  The two robins and the word "joy" were actually three separate patterns in the book, but I thought that they would look good all together.

What kinds of projects have you been working on lately?  I look forward to catching up with you when I visit your blog!

Thanks for popping by my blog this week. There are times I just like to color and that mandala was a perfect project for that.

You tea sounds interesting, I hope you kept the tag for crafting...;))
LOVE the cross stitched ornament.
Happy T-day

I loved the ornament so much I leave it out all year on our closet door knob. I mean who doesn't need joy all year long?

^ Now you all know who I gave this ornament to. :)

Ann, I didn't know that you leave this out all year. I'm so glad that you like it!

Your spiced pumpkin tea sounds good, never seen that over here. Flavoured coffees are always very pricey here in the shops. Have fun with your crafting, happy T day, hugs, Valerie

What a wonderful fall beverage. I don't ever seem to drink the flavored teas and coffees, but they do sound good.

Happy T Tuesday!

Spiced pumpkin tea...hmmm, I must look out for that. I'm looking forward to having my first Gingerbread Latte of the year, this weekend when I go shopping with my friend. Fingers crossed for me huh?! Lol. Your cross stitched ornament is adorable, and you were right, the three elements do look good together. Happy T Day :D

I should have found some of that tea to go with my pumpkin bread. It would have been the perfect addition. It looks like it was a joy to drink, too. I was going to buy some pumpkin spice creamer, then saw the ingredients AND the price, and decided to just THINK about pumpkin spice when I drink my coffee (grin).

Looks like your gift from last year got lots of good use and praise, too. It is wonderful. I'm sure you're glad you didn't show anything you've made this year so far.

Thanks for sharing your tea with us for T this Tuesday, and thanks for showing a gift you made for Ann last year.

Those Christmas birds are too cute! Are they gingersnap birds or do you have brown Christmas birds in the States? Pumpkin tea sounds adventurous - it is not a taste I can identify, but then we are not pumpkin eaters in this country. We have started carving them up for Halloween, however, inspired by you. Happy T-Day!

I'm a big fan of pumpkin! Fall is my favorite time of year. Of course my waistline doesn't always fair to well with the yummy pumpkin treats around every corner. :)
I haven't been working on much. I've been busy dealing with my elderly mom's stuff lately. She is no longer driving so I just became her taxi driver.
Happy T day...a little late!
